Changes to the amount you can claim through the furlough scheme
From Thursday 1st July 2021, the amount employers can claim through the furlough scheme will be reduced and employers will need to start contributing towards the cost of furloughed employees’ wages.
Furloughed employees must continue to receive 80% of their wages, up to a cap of ÂŁ2,500 per month, for any furloughed hours (unless you have agreed to top them up to their full wages).
The changes to government and employer contributions to furlough pay are as follows:
