Howarths are Finalists at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2025
We’re delighted to announce that we’re finalists at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2025 across three categories:

It’s a fantastic recognition of our hard work and impact in the industry, and we’re thrilled to be a finalist.
Our story
Andy Howarth was 50 when he started Howarths, and neither Andy nor wife, Helen had been in business before.
While Andy had a law degree, which he obtained later in life, neither he or Helen were Solicitors. We didn’t have a traditional law firm model (still don’t), offering a ‘fixed fee, unlimited service’ package which was rare in the industry at that time.
We received some derision from the legal sector – the incumbents never want newcomers in their market. “You’ll never make it” was a direct quote from a Partner of a big traditional Law firm back in 2003…
… Oh, how the fire of proving people wrong can burn 🔥
23 years later, over 600 clients later, 35 colleagues later, we are here baby!
Huge congratulations to each and every one of our wonderful employees, whose graft, togetherness, heart and grit have got us here!
We’re here, and not just to take part – growing at almost 20% a year, we’ll keep building around what our SME clients want and need into 2025 and beyond.
