Dragonfly Products: Why We Chose Howarths
Howarths was recently appointed by Yorkshire based specialist natural pet food retailer, Dragonfly Products, to support the company’s ambitious plans for growth.
The partnership will see Howarths work alongside the Dragonfly team to develop the HR and team development programme and employment law compliance for the Slaithwaite based business.
We asked finance director, Richard Lambert, about how support from Howarths will help Dragonfly’s next stage of growth.
What are Dragonfly’s growth plans for the business over the next 12 – 24 months?
Richard: “We are rapidly expanding and are looking to continue this over the next couple of years. This will see an increase in staff and hopefully business turnover. Our plans mainly focus on diversification of our raw dog food brands that we offer, along with expanding our offering to include all things canine, not just food and treats.”
How will working with Howarths support you as small business to achieve your growth plans?
Richard: “Our partnership with Howarths will ensure we are able support our staff in all the relevant areas Howarths specialise in. We take the welfare of our staff very seriously and we know that, working with Howarths, we are in good hands to perform all that is required of us as employers. What made you realise you needed the support and expertise of Howarths?
Richard: “Our trigger was very simple. We realised that our rapid business growth meant that some of our policies were going to become outdated very quickly. A fellow business owner in the village of Slaithwaite who we are friendly with recommended Howarths to us during a chat one day. The recommendation was enough for us to know we were going to work with a very professional company who would meet our business needs.”
