Success for The Howarth Foundation and Leeds United Football Club

Our team of specialists are ready to help your business today

Following his successful trial in a role with the maintenance team at LUFC, we are delighted that The Howarth Foundation client, Gavin, is going to be given a full-time job at the club in 2019.
Employing Gavin on a part-time basis has allowed the club to experience how the Foundation’s ‘Business Building Futures’ programme works, without committing to a full-time role immediately, and the LUFC team has got to know Gavin as an individual, not just someone who has experienced homelessness.
Natalie, Business Development Manager at The Howarth Foundation, said:
“We are delighted that following his review, Gavin will be full-time as of next year. LUFC has dedicated time and effort to make this a success, and we hope to work with them in the future to support getting more individuals back into employment.”
Mark Broadley, who is head of IT and facilities at LUFC and has worked with Gavin, added:
“Working at the club over the last three months has boosted Gavin’s confidence and self-esteem. He is an extremely competent and capable worker who is an asset to the team due to his skills and standard of work.”
