How it all began
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the government’s Job Retention Scheme was announced, many small businesses needed guidance and support to guide them through. As a long-standing client of Howarths, Paul Ince, MD at The Pink Link, knew he could call on the team to help.
Keeping the company up to date
Working closely with Paul and The Pink Link team, we kept the business up to date on the furlough scheme as the government was adding to the guidance daily during its early stages.
We provided consistent, clear and concise communication to Paul over the phone and via email to ensure he remained fully understanding of how any changes affected the business, and to ensure all relevant employment law guidance was applied in line with the scheme.
Supporting a structured furlough scheme
We worked closely with Paul to help The Pink Link define and implement a structured furlough scheme which allowed the business to maintain access the skill bases and team members required to continue its operations
The team also supported Paul to manage the furlough process, including defining which members of staff were eligible (and which were not), as well as guiding Paul through several of the idiosyncrasies involved in the process and providing support with the required documentation as part of the scheme.
